Domestic Violence is occurring everywhere around us. It takes place in the apartment or house next to you, the grocery aisle, or even on the playground. You might not notice it because there is no hitting or some of the more severe actions, but there are unkind words being spoken. Let’s say these words were being yelled by partner, wife, husband, boyfriend or girlfriend to another in the store. If heard by a customer, the police could be called. After all, sometimes those mean words make others feel uncomfortable or harassed. In Arapahoe and Denver County, these accusations are always taken seriously, even if no physical injury results. You will be arrested and taken to jail under Colorado’s ridiculous requirement that someone must go to jail if evidence of Domestic Violence is found. If you’ve been charged or accused of Domestic Violence, consult a Domestic Violence lawyer immediately.
